After so many false starts to spring earlier this year, we bet you’re just as happy as we are to see things starting to bloom. That spirit of growth and renewal extends to The Meemic Foundation as we look ahead to Teacher Appreciation Week next month and beyond.
New Grant Opportunities
Speaking of Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re all about showing our schools some love with our current grant rounds.
This month’s PopIn2Win prize is a package featuring some cool Proud Michigan Educator swag and more. Win an “old-school” tin lunchbox and tumbler, plus the fun hardcover book “Dr. Seuss’s Oh, What I’ve Learned: Thanks to My Teachers.” For full details and the link to enter, visit MeemicFoundation.org/PopIn2Win.
And we’re already looking ahead to the next school year with the latest Tools4Schools grant. The Meemic Foundation will provide 75 schools with a $1,000 check to use to kick off the 2026-27 school year. Use this opportunity to honor the school staff’s dedication, passion and impact with a celebration the staff will always remember. You can learn how to nominate your favorite school at MeemicFoundation.org/Tools4Schools.
Meemic Masterpieces Art Gallery
Our student art contestants drove off with our hearts with their “For the Love of Automobiles” entries. The winners have been announced, and you can see them all in our digital flipbook.
And in September, come see the winning pieces in person at the free 2026 AAA Auto Expo in Dearborn. Don’t miss it!
Fore! Education Golf Outing’s 10th Anniversary
2026 will be the 10th year for our summer fundraiser at the beautiful Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion. Not a golfer, we’ll have something just as fun for you, too.
Mark your calendars for July 28, 2026, and keep an eye on MeemicFoundation.org/Fore for registration to open soon. In the meantime, you can sign on as a sponsor. Opportunities range from sponsoring a hole to a meal and more. Please reach out to Meemic Foundation Director Pam Harlin at Pam.Harlin@Meemic.com or 248-765-0991.
“Cheers for Educators’ ” Fifth Anniversary
We’re still putting together the guest list for this year’s exciting event to help usher in the school year later this summer. Stay tuned to see who will join a list that has included Ron Clark Academy founder Ron Clark, CBS News correspondent Steve Hartman and Brad Holmes, executive vice president and general manager of the Detroit Lions.
